Ananias Spence

Born in 1940. Has always lived in the Ring of Fire.
He discusses how in the past he used the skills and trade of his traditional culture to survive. All of the food he ate was natural and without preservatives, having been harvested and collected, animals and fish were smoked and preserved. Even medicine was taken from the stomach of caribou they would catch. Ananias explains that we are all here to experience life, and he knows that he still has much to learn and to see and learn. Despite his hesitation towards the ways of the Western world, he knows he will never lose his culture because it will always exist inside of him.
